What you’ll do
We’re hiring an appliance repair technician — or a licensed electrician looking to move into high-end domestic appliance work — to service Brisbane from our Underwood workshop.
You’ll work on premium European and Asian appliances: ovens, cooktops, dishwashers, laundry, and refrigeration. Mostly in customers’ homes, some workshop time for bench jobs. Real diagnostic work — not just swapping parts until something works.
What actually makes this different
We’re the factory-authorised warranty agent for Miele, Bosch, ASKO, Liebherr and Neff. That means direct manufacturer training, genuine parts supply, and phone support from the factory when a board fault doesn’t add up. You’ll work on premium appliances for customers who value quality service — not bottom-of-the-market call-outs.
From $45/hr depending on experience and licences, with a clear pathway to $55/hr as you gain brand certifications. Paid travel time including to and from home, plus productivity bonuses.
You get a fully kitted late-model van — dual battery system, 240V inverter, camp fridge, microwave, and ventilated seat covers. Uniforms, laptop, and iPhone included. You’re not working out of a dusty ute with parts rolling around the tray.
We run Simpro for dispatch, job history, parts, photos, and invoicing — all in one app. No chasing paperwork, no end-of-day data entry marathons.
Always Prompt has been Brisbane-owned and operated since 2009. Seven techs in the field, a dedicated office team in Underwood that actually answers the phone, and a full-time spare parts coordinator so you’re not chasing stock yourself.
If you’re converting from commercial electrical, construction, or air-conditioning work, we’ll fund and structure your appliance brand certifications through Miele, Bosch, ASKO, and others.
Who we’re looking for
Experienced appliance repair technicians — including whitegoods, refrigeration, or air-conditioning backgrounds — or licensed electricians ready to move into domestic appliance work.
You’ll fit if you:
• Diagnose before you replace
• Communicate clearly with customers (our clientele expect it)
• Turn up clean, on time, and leave the kitchen better than you found it
• Work independently but call the office when a second opinion makes sense
Required
• Full QLD Electrical Licence or Restricted Electrical Licence (strongly preferred but not essential for the right candidate)
• Full clean QLD driver’s licence
• Unrestricted right to work in Australia
• Contactable professional references
Handy to have
• ARCtick refrigeration licence
• LPG endorsement
• Existing brand certifications (Miele, Bosch, ASKO, Liebherr, Neff, Fisher & Paykel, LG) — we’ll fund these if you don’t have them yet
