Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher Repairs Brisbane

Fisher & Paykel dishwashers — especially the popular DishDrawer range — are found in kitchens right across Brisbane. They’re well-designed machines, but like any appliance, things wear out over time. If your F&P dishwasher has stopped mid-cycle, is leaking, or is flashing an error code, Always Prompt Repairs can get it sorted. We’ve been repairing appliances in Brisbane since 2009 and work on F&P dishwashers daily.

We service all Fisher & Paykel dishwasher models including single and double DishDrawers, the older 60cm conventional models, and the newer Series 5 and Series 7 built-in units. Our vans carry common F&P dishwasher parts, so many repairs are completed in a single visit.

Common Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher Faults We Repair

DishDrawer Motor & Rotor Failure

The DishDrawer uses a wash motor and rotor assembly to circulate water during the cycle. When this fails, you’ll typically hear a humming noise with no water movement, or the machine may stop mid-cycle with an error code. We diagnose the motor circuit onsite and replace the assembly if it’s failed.

Water Inlet Valve Failures

If your dishwasher isn’t filling with water — or is filling too slowly — the water inlet valve is the most likely cause. We also check the inlet hose filter, which can block up with sediment from Brisbane’s water supply.

Drain Pump Blockages

A dishwasher that won’t drain is a common callout. In most cases, the drain pump is blocked with food scraps, broken glass, or small items. We clear the blockage onsite. If the pump motor has burned out, we carry replacements for common DishDrawer models.

Error Codes (F1, F2, and Others)

F&P dishwashers display error codes to indicate specific faults. Common ones include F1 (water fill issue), F2 (drainage problem), and various fault codes related to temperature sensors, motor faults, or door latch problems. We have the diagnostic knowledge to interpret these codes and trace the fault to the actual failed component.

Not Cleaning Properly / Spray Arm Issues

Poor cleaning performance is often caused by clogged spray arm jets, a worn wash motor that’s lost pressure, or a faulty detergent dispenser. We check water temperature, spray arm condition, wash motor pressure, and water level to pinpoint the cause.

Door Latch Issues

DishDrawer models rely on a latch mechanism to secure the drawer and signal the control board that it’s safe to start. A worn or misaligned latch will prevent the cycle from starting. Latch replacements are a quick repair.

Leaking

Dishwasher leaks can come from the door seal, inlet hose connections, the wash pump housing, or a cracked sump. On DishDrawers, a common leak source is the drawer seal that runs around the perimeter of the tub. We identify exactly where the water is coming from.
