Common Bosch Dishwasher Error Codes
Bosch dishwashers are well-engineered, but when they develop a fault they’ll usually tell you with an error code. Here are the ones we see most often in Brisbane:
E15 — Water in the base (flood protection) — The AquaStop system has detected water in the base tray. The safety float activates and the machine won’t run. Usually caused by a leaking sump seal, cracked spray arm housing, or a failed door seal. We drain the base, identify the leak source, and repair it.
E24 — Not draining — Blocked drain pump, kinked drain hose, or a faulty drain pump motor. Check the filter and drain hose for kinks first — if the code persists, the pump itself likely needs attention.
E25 — Drain pump issue — Similar to E24 but specifically points to the drain pump cover being blocked or the pump impeller being jammed. Often caused by broken glass, food debris, or small objects reaching the pump.
E04 — Water flow fault — The machine detects insufficient water flow. Could be a blocked inlet filter, failed water inlet valve, or low water pressure. We test the inlet system and replace the faulty component.
