How Liebherr warranty repairs work
For in-warranty Liebherr repairs, please contact Liebherr first to register your claim. Liebherr will email us a work order, and we’ll book a time with you that suits — usually a 1-hour arrival window within a few business days. There’s no cost to you for covered warranty repairs. User faults, accidental damage, water damage, power surges, and pest damage are not covered under any manufacturer warranty.
For out-of-warranty Liebherr repairs, you can book directly with us — no work-order required. We diagnose the fault and quote a fixed price before any work starts.
Common faults we diagnose and fix
Temperature drift — fridge too warm or too cold
Liebherr’s electronic temperature control depends on the NTC sensor stack. A drifted sensor produces wrong-temperature behaviour even though the display reads correctly. Our technicians carry a range of commonly used parts on every van.
BioFresh damper motor failure
The BioFresh compartment uses a small damper motor to control humidity. When it fails the BioFresh drawer reads ambient temperature. Replacement is straightforward once diagnosed.
Door seal degradation (integrated models especially)
Built-in Liebherrs run hotter than freestanding because cabinet ventilation is restricted — door seals degrade faster. Genuine Liebherr replacement seals come with the right magnetic strength to hold the door correctly.
Wine cabinet (EWTgw) temperature instability
Most often a thermal sensor fault, evaporator fan failure, or door-seal degradation letting warm air in. Wine cabinets are sensitive to ambient temperature — a 30°C cellar has a working temperature differential that’s harder for the cabinet to maintain.
Defrost heater fault — frost buildup in NoFrost models
Liebherr’s NoFrost system has a specific defrost heater + sensor + timer assembly. Failure of any one stops the defrost cycle. We diagnose by reading the fault history off the control board.
Common Liebherr models we service
CBN / CBNes / CBNef integrated combis, ICN / ICBN / ICBP NoFrost combis, EWTgw under-bench wine cabinets, WKes / WKr freestanding wine cabinets, GN / GNP freezers, and the FNc / FNd freestanding combis. Built-in models need particular attention to ventilation — poor airflow around the condenser causes most premature electronic failures, and we’ll flag that on the day if we see it.
What does an out-of-warranty repair cost?
Our standard callout is $219, which includes up to 30 minutes of labour onsite. Most faults are diagnosed and many repaired within that time. Parts are quoted separately if needed. Return visits are $29 plus parts and labour, and we provide a fixed price quote before any work starts.
Do you carry parts on hand?
Our technicians carry a range of commonly used parts on every van. Where the right part is on hand, many repairs are completed in a single visit, subject to parts availability. For less common parts, we order direct from Liebherr, usually within a few business days.
