Appliance Repair Cost Brisbane | Price Guide | Always Prompt Repairs

How Much Does Appliance Repair Cost in Brisbane?

Most appliance repairs in Brisbane cost between $219–$1,500, depending on what’s broken and which appliance we’re fixing. Some jobs are simpler and cheaper (like replacing a door seal), while others involve parts that cost more (like a compressor regas or a drum bearing replacement).

Here’s the honest bit: the final cost depends on:
What’s actually broken — a thermostat replacement is different from a compressor failure
Which parts you need — genuine parts (especially for premium brands) cost more than aftermarket
The brand — Miele, Bosch, and Liebherr repairs are typically pricier because parts are premium quality
How old the appliance is — older units sometimes need parts that cost more to source

We diagnose the fault, tell you the fixed price, and you approve before we start. No surprises, no hidden fees. All prices shown are estimates only — your actual cost will be quoted upfront after diagnosis.

What Affects the Cost of an Appliance Repair?

Type of Fault

Simple fixes (a door seal, a light globe) cost less. Electrical or mechanical failures (motors, compressors, control boards) cost more because the parts are pricier and take longer to replace.

Parts Needed

  • Genuine parts — Original manufacturer parts for Miele, Bosch, ASKO, Liebherr, or Neff cost more, but they last longer and come with warranty
  • Aftermarket parts — Cheaper alternatives are available for some appliances, but we always discuss this with you first

Brand & Age

Premium brands (Miele, Bosch, Liebherr) have higher parts costs but are built to last. Cheaper imported brands might be closer to replacement cost if they’re already 6+ years old.

Accessibility

If the part is buried deep inside the appliance or the unit is hard to access, labour time increases, which adds to the cost.

Diagnostics & Callout

We charge a service call fee for diagnosis (usually $219 (includes up to 30 minutes diagnosis)). If you go ahead with the repair, this is often included in the final price. If we can’t fix it, you only pay the $219 callout fee.

When Is It Worth Repairing vs Replacing?

We’ll always be honest with you — we’re not here to upsell.

Repair makes sense if:
– The repair cost is less than 50% of replacement cost
– The appliance is under 8 years old (or it’s a premium brand like Miele or Bosch — these are built to last 12–15+ years)
– It’s a single component failure (not multiple things breaking at once)

Consider replacing if:
– The repair is more than 50% of the replacement cost
– The appliance is over 10 years old AND it’s a budget brand
– The control board has failed on an older, cheaper appliance (control boards are expensive and often indicate the end of life)
– You’re already dealing with multiple faults

We’ll tell you honestly — if it’s not worth fixing, we’ll say so. We’d rather lose a job than sell you a repair that doesn’t make sense.
