NEFF
Built-in ovens and cooktops fail in different ways but the diagnostic approach is the same: confirm power, test the elements or coils, check the control board. We carry common element types and capacitor sizes on the van. Most oven and cooktop repairs sort on a single visit.
We don’t service gas cooktops or gas ovens. Anything involving the gas supply, regulator, or burner assembly is a licensed gas fitter’s job. Our oven and cooktop work is electric only — induction, ceramic, and electric coil.
Oven Repairs Brisbane — Common oven faults
Won’t heat or temperature is way off
Top or bottom heating element, fan element (in fan-forced ovens), or temperature sensor (NTC). Element failures are quick swaps once we’ve confirmed which element. Sensor faults often present as “preheats forever” or “turns off mid-bake.”
Fan-forced not circulating
Fan motor or fan element. The fan element is wrapped around the fan and drives convection — if it’s blown, the oven still heats but doesn’t bake evenly.
Door won’t close properly or seal is failing
Hinge replacement (if hinges have weakened) or door gasket. Worn hinges drop the door and the seal can’t make contact — you lose heat at the front and the oven runs hotter than the dial says.
Door interlock won’t release after self-clean cycle
Pyrolytic ovens lock the door during self-clean and release when the oven cools. If the lock won’t release, it’s usually the latch motor or a stuck thermostat.
Display dead, oven won’t turn on
Power input fault. Could be the input fuse, the mains termination, or the upstream circuit at the switchboard. We start at the wall and work in.
Common cooktop faults
Cooktop diagnostics differ by type. Read our dedicated cooktop page for the full breakdown of induction, ceramic, and electric coil faults.
Induction (the most electronic-heavy): coil, IGBT power transistor, control board, touch sensor, NTC. Single-zone failures are usually that zone’s coil or driver.
Ceramic glass: heating elements (each radiant zone has its own), main control, switch contacts.

You book online or call. We confirm a 1-hour arrival window. Your technician diagnoses on site, gives you a fixed price before any work starts, and most jobs complete on the first visit. For Miele, Bosch, ASKO, and Neff appliances we use the manufacturer’s service interface to read codes and test components — same procedure their factory technicians use.
