For out-of-warranty repairs, you can book directly with us — no need to go through ASKO first. Our standard callout fee applies.
Common ASKO Dishwasher Faults We Repair
Dishwasher Not Draining
An ASKO dishwasher that finishes a cycle with water sitting in the base is a common callout. The ASKO drainage system uses a self-cleaning filter combined with a drain pump, and blockages can occur in the filter assembly, the drain hose, or at the pump impeller itself. In Brisbane homes with hard water, mineral deposits can also restrict flow over time. We disassemble the sump area, clear any blockages, and test the drain pump.
Leaking
ASKO dishwashers use a flood protection system (often called AquaSafe or Overflow Protection) that triggers when water is detected in the base pan beneath the dishwasher. If the flood switch activates, the machine will stop and display an error code. Common causes include a perished door seal, a leaking spray arm connection, a cracked sump, or a failed inlet valve that drips when the machine is off. We identify exactly where the leak originates and replace the affected component.
Not Cleaning Properly
ASKO dishwashers use precision spray arm technology for thorough cleaning. When dishes come out with food residue, cloudy glasses, or white film, the issue may be blocked spray arm nozzles, a dirty filter, incorrect detergent dosing, or a failing wash pump. We check spray arm rotation, inspect nozzles for blockages, test pump pressure, and verify that the machine is reaching the correct wash temperature.
Error Codes
ASKO dishwashers display specific fault codes — often starting with F followed by a number — that correspond to component failures. Common codes relate to drainage (F2), water inlet (F1), heating (F4), and flood switch (F6) faults. We read the code, test the associated component, and provide a clear repair quote before proceeding.
Door Latch and Seal Issues
The ASKO door latch mechanism must engage fully for the dishwasher to start. A worn latch, a bent strike plate, or a failing door interlock switch can prevent the cycle from beginning. The door seal around the perimeter can also perish over time, allowing water to seep out during the wash phase. We replace latches, interlocks, and seals for all common ASKO models.
Noisy Operation
Grinding, rattling, or thumping from an ASKO dishwasher usually indicates debris caught in the wash pump impeller, a worn pump bearing, or a loose spray arm. We disassemble the relevant components, remove foreign objects, and replace worn parts as needed.
ASKO Dishwasher Models We Service
As an authorised ASKO service agent, we repair the full range of ASKO dishwashers sold in Australia. We service freestanding, built-under, and fully integrated units.
