Oven Not Heating Up or Taking Forever to Preheat
The most common oven fault (40% of jobs). Usually it’s a faulty heating element, failed thermostat, defective temperature sensor, or tripped thermal fuse. We see this constantly in Westinghouse, Electrolux, Bosch, Neff, and Smeg models.

Oven Fan Making Grinding or Scraping Noises
That rattling or grinding sound means the fan motor bearing is usually failing, or the fan blade is loose or bent. Sometimes debris gets in the housing. Happens a lot with Westinghouse, Smeg, Ilve, Electrolux, and Bosch.

Cooktop Element Not Heating
The element coil has burnt out, the infinite switch has failed, the connection at the element socket is loose, or the prongs are corroded. We fix this weekly on Fisher & Paykel, Electrolux, Westinghouse, and Chef cooktops.

Oven Door Won’t Close Properly — Heat Escaping
Heat’s leaking out, the door hangs loose, or it slams shut unevenly. The door gasket has worn out, the hinge is bent, the door latch is broken, or the seal has collapsed from heat damage. We see this in Smeg, Ilve, Westinghouse, and Electrolux.

Oven or Cooktop Tripping the Circuit Breaker
That’s a serious one. Usually a faulty heating element creating a short circuit, water getting into the electronics, damaged wiring insulation, or corroded terminal connections. Common in Westinghouse, Fisher & Paykel, Electrolux, Chef, and Omega models.
