Samsung washer problems we can assess
Not draining: 5E, 5C or nD on some models
These codes can indicate that the washer is draining slowly or not draining. Check whether the drain hose is kinked or blocked. Some front loaders have an accessible pump filter, but the steps and water release differ by model. Switch the machine off and follow your model manual before opening anything. If the code returns, a technician can test the drainage system and quote the repair after diagnosis.
Not filling: 4E or 4C on some models
Check that the water taps are open and the inlet hoses are connected without kinks. Samsung also recommends checking water supply and inlet mesh filters as directed by the model manual. A persistent fault can have more than one cause, so we check the appliance before recommending parts.
Shaking or failing to spin: UE or Ub on some models
Try redistributing a tangled or heavy load and make sure the washer stands level. Excess vibration can also relate to installation or a mechanical fault. Some Samsung models use VRT or VRT+ vibration reduction, but their components differ. A code or noise alone does not identify a failed suspension part, bearing or drum support. We can assess a persistent fault on site.
Door will not lock or cycle will not start
Make sure the door is fully closed and no clothing is caught in the seal. Codes such as dE, DC or DC1 can vary by model and context. Check the exact characters against your manual. If the door still will not lock, unlock or start a cycle, we can inspect the lock and related controls before quoting a repair.
Water leaking or controls behaving unexpectedly
A leak may come from a hose, dispenser, door seal, filter cap or another source. If water is near an electrical outlet, avoid touching the wet area and turn off power only if it is safe to do so. We locate the leak before recommending a seal or other part. For an unresponsive display or interrupted cycles, record any code and model number; the control board is only one possible cause.
Samsung error codes: check the model first
Samsung’s Australian washing machine error code guide says codes and settings vary by model. As a starting point, 5E/5C can point to drainage, 4E/4C to water supply, and UE/Ub to an unbalanced load. A code does not confirm which component needs replacing. Record the exact code, including capitalisation, and use your model manual. If the simple checks do not resolve it, book a diagnosis.

Should I clean the pump filter before booking?
Only if your model manual shows an accessible filter and you can follow its safety and draining steps. Turn the appliance off and unplug it before opening the filter, as Samsung instructs. There may be water inside. If you are unsure or the problem persists, book a technician rather than forcing a panel or part.
Is a shaking Samsung washer a VRT fault?
Not necessarily. Start with load balance and levelling. Persistent shaking may need a model specific inspection; we will explain what we find before quoting a repair.
