Smeg Oven Door Seal & Gasket Failure
The oven door doesn’t seal properly, heat escapes, and the door feels loose. The gasket hardens and cracks from repeated heat cycling — especially common in SA and SFA series. The rubber perishes over 8–10 years and just stops gripping. We replace the gasket with the correct Smeg part and test the door seal. Straightforward same-day repair.
Smeg Retro Fridge Compressor Issues
The FAB28 and FAB32 retro fridge models are iconic, but the compressor relay fails or the thermostat drifts out of calibration. In tight kitchen spaces where air circulation is poor, the condenser coils overheat and the compressor struggles. We test the relay and capacitor, check the thermostat, and clean the condenser. If the compressor has failed, we’ll advise on replacement options.
Smeg Oven Fan Motor Noise
The fan motor bearing is worn, the blade has come loose, or internal components are rattling. You hear grinding or loud rattling during fan-forced cooking, especially in SA and SFA series. We test the motor, tighten or replace the blade, and replace the motor if the bearing is gone. One visit usually solves it.
Smeg Dishwasher Not Draining
Water sits in the tub after the cycle or drains very slowly. The drain pump has failed or the filter is blocked. DWAU series. We clean the filter, test the pump, and replace it if faulty. Same-day fix in most cases.
Smeg Cooktop Element Not Heating
On ceramic or electric models, the element coil won’t heat or heats intermittently. The infinite switch has failed or the element itself is burned out. On induction models, the induction coil has failed. We test the element and switch, replace what’s needed, and confirm heating works across all zones.
