What does Electrolux E20 mean?
E20 points to a drainage problem on the front-load washers and washer-dryers covered by Electrolux’s guidance. E21 can appear with the same symptoms. The code does not, by itself, identify a failed pump or any particular part. A selected program without a drain phase, a clogged sink connection, a kinked hose, a blocked filter where fitted, or an installation issue may need checking first.
If the display shows a different code, use the instructions for that exact code and model. Find the model number on the appliance label before looking up its manual; filter access and drain-hose installation can differ between machines.
Safe checks before booking a repair
- Check the selected program. If you used a program without a drain phase, select the drain program described in your manual. Note whether the machine empties and whether E20 or E21 returns.
